Our trip to the Mergui Archipelago in January 2000 was clearly one of the the highlights of the last 12 months and we wanted to take just a minute to send our thanks for this extraordinary experience. We traveled on Gaea and Lee Hasell was the Skipper; Julian Carnevale was the Dive Master.

In particular, we want to recognize and credit both Julian and Lee for the success of our trip. They were responsible for managing, with skill and humor, a diverse group of travelers. They always maintained their professionalism.

Julian was skillful as a divemaster and we loved diving with him. Both Julian and Lee's knowledge of the marine life, the local culture, and the eco-systems enhanced our appreciation of the Megui Islands. Their affection for the Burmese people, and theirs for them, was obvious. We could not have had a more wonderful experience, and we credit Lee and Julian for this. In addition to providing us with a rich and rewarding experience in Burma, they were able to share themselves on a personal level and we left Burma feeling that we had made good friends.

We also want to compliment SEAL on the high quality of your yachts and the personnel who run them. The food was excellent and we felt truly pampered in all respects. After such wonderful treatment we hated to leave. We were particularly impressed by the professionalism and warmth of the boat crew (Mojo, Mee, and Joel) It was clear that SEAL has good relations with the local community in Burma. The opportunity to get to know the Boat crew was truly a privilege. We greatly appreciate all of the many kindnesses shown to us by these men.

There was indeed no aspect of our trip that was not superb. We are grateful to SEAL for an incredible experience. We will certainly refer others to you without reservation. And we are especially grateful to Lee and Julian for their skills and for their friendship to us. We hope to return with SEAL for another trip. We also hope to return the hospitality if anyone from SEAL gets a chance to visit Nepal.
