Northern Islands - Thailand's Andaman Sea Coast
Typical Itinerary - 6 Days / 6 Nights

Our ‘SS’ diving itinerary offers up to 3 dives per day plus some additional night dives exploring some of the very best sites to be found in the Andaman Sea.

Arrival – Ranong - met on arrival - airport or the Royal Princess hotel or from Phuket. Embark Ranong mid-afternoon, a short briefing before transferring to our yacht Wanderlust. Travel late afternoon and evening, heading southwest to arrive Koh Surin and the overnight anchorage.

Surin Islands - some of the most beautiful islands in the Andaman Sea, with clear waters, healthy reefs and covered in thick rain forest. Breakfast, then an orientation dive for everyone to get comfortable with their new surroundings and dive equipment. Dives two and three, in the Surin area before heading south for Koh Tachai.

Koh Tachai - first dive of the day, here we dive on the submerged undersea mount off the islands south coast. Expect to see healthy coral formations, along with a variety of marine life, a good site to see Mantas. Dive two in same area before heading south to Koh Bon Island.

Koh Bon - third dive of the day, along the ridge at the western end of the island. This site has great potential to see large pelagics. Late afternoon continue south to overnight anchorage at Koh Similan.

Koh Similan – the days first two dives will be on the northern sites. Short sail south to the third dive site of the day – Elephant Rock, recognized as one of the best dives that Koh Similan has to offer; large granite boulders piled upon each other, creating large ‘swim-throughs’ and tunnels make this an exceptional dive site. There will be an option of an extra night dive. Anchor off Koh Similan for a second night.

Koh Similan - the morning dives are offered at two top dive sites. Christmas Point with it’s clear waters and abundance of pelagic fish. The Boulders with rock formations comprising massive granite boulders, covered in a spectrum of multi-colored soft corals, give homes to Leopard sharks, Stingrays and Lion fish.

Koh Bon – late morning head off north returning to Koh Bon, dive three and possibly a night dive at this popular site before continuing north to an overnight anchorage at Koh Tachai.

Koh Tachai - early morning first dive before heading north to arrive Richelieu Rock.

Richelieu Rock - considered possibly the best dive site in Thailand, this undersea mount is covered in a profusion of multi-colored soft and hard corals. Two dives will be offered here, exploring the dive site and it’s many interesting inhabitants. Richelieu is infamous for Whale-shark sightings. Late afternoon, head back to an overnight anchorage near to Ranong.

Departure - Ranong – early breakfast and disembark Ranong at 09.00 hours, local transfer to airport or elsewhere.
