Myanmar Andaman Resort
Mergui Archipelago - Myanmar (Burma)
This brand new island resort
is designed to meet the expectations of those who love to
enjoy the sea, sun, sand and the natural environment of a beautiful tropical island.
The Myanmar Andaman Resort is located on Kayin Kwa (Macleod) Island in the Mergui (Myeik) Archipelago, the
southern most province of Myanmar, situated at Latitude 10'10' and Longitude 97'56' some 40 nautical miles
from Kawthaung. The resort is located in the middle of a picturesque one mile deep bay with white sandy
beach and idyllically sited between scenic mountains and the shimmering blue waters of the Andaman Sea.
The Mergui Archipelago comprises of over
eight hundred tropical islands scattered throughout an area of some ten thousand square miles in the
Andaman Sea off the south west coast of Myanmar. It had been closed off to foreigners for over fifty
years, until 1997. Due to the area's isolation the islands remains pristine much as they have done for
the past 1000 years. They undoubtedly take their place amongst the world's greatest and most spectacular
wilderness destination, a superb setting for a relaxing or adventure holiday.
